Who is the Somnodontist –
Dr Greg Reynolds?

Born in Christchurch, Dr Greg Reynolds graduated from Dunedin’s University of Otago Dental School in 1979, before embarking on several years’ practice in Zimbabwe, South Africa and London. Returning to New Zealand in 1986, he operated dental practices in Christchurch and on the South Island’s West Coast.

Having developed a personal interest in sleep-disordered breathing, Dr Reynolds’ career in sleep medicine started at the Sleep Disorders Center in Shreveport, at Louisiana State University in 2000. Following six years of full-time study and research, he graduated with Masters degrees from both the University of Otago and the University of Sydney in 2006. His research theses on oral appliance treatment provided the foundation for his clinical experience in the field of dental sleep medicine, Somnodontics™, and the ongoing development of the SomnoSplint™ programme.
